Preserving History: TradCo’s Hardware Shines in a 1920s Home

Nestled amidst the serene landscape of Tamborine Mountain, a piece of history was lovingly restored by owners David and Heidi. The 1920s bungalow, once a witness to simpler times, found a new lease on life through a thorough 18-month renovation. The Tallowwood project was lovingly restored to its former glory with TradCo hardware, each piece handpicked to match the home’s architectural style, while adding modern functionality throughout.

Crafting Timelessness

As you step into the home, you are drawn to the details that seamlessly connect the home’s heritage history to its present design. The choice of TradCo’s matt black hardware echoes the classic charm of the 1920s, while lending a contemporary edge to the interiors.

The front door is adorned with the 2000 Rim Lock which ensures not only security, but also serves as a visual link between the home’s original era and its present restoration. The rim lock stands as a testament to the craftsmanship of both bygone days and modern artisans.

A Marriage of Style and Function

As sunlight shines through the cottage windows, you’ll notice the artful detail of the 1836 Teardrop Casement Fastener. These fasteners, finished in the same elegant matt black, add a touch of whimsy to the windows, reminiscent of a time when attention to detail was paramount.

It’s all in the details

Venturing into the heart of the home, the thoughtfully designed shelving is adorned with the 1941 Shelf Brackets. Their matt black finish seamlessly integrates with the surrounding decor, a foundation for the repurposing philosophy that breathes life into the home.

The kitchen, a space where utility meets aesthetics, features the 1867 Iron Pull Handle Offset on the traditional sliding barn door.

Even the functional aspects of the home are touched by TradCo’s craftsmanship. The 1909 Base Fix Casement Stay not only secures the open windows in place, but also elevates their appearance. This blend of form and function perfectly encapsulates the home’s essence—classic yet contemporary.

A Symphony of Design and Craftsmanship

The Tallowwood project is a testament to design integrity and the seamless interplay of history and modernity. The choice of TradCo Hardware is a celebration of heritage, where every piece is more than a functional necessity—it’s an artful addition to the home’s story.
