Country Home by Shaynna Blaze
Celebrated interior designer and TV Personality Shaynna Blaze has embarked upon her own renovation journey with a dilapidated Victorian style home with the help of TradCo.
The home was originally bought by Blaze for her children to film a horror film in, but she gradually became attached to the ornate heritage features like the stained-glass windows, archways, and cornicing. Her journey can be followed on Channel 9’s ‘Country Home Rescue’.
“Looking through the double-glazed French doors and hints of gold in the TradCo handles gives the space a beautiful elegant feel of times gone by.”
The facade of the home was restored back to its original beauty with hand-forged Victorian lacework, timber posts and detailing. The only salvageable piece of the home exterior was the door knocker which was complemented by the TradCo letter box plate and polished brass home numerals
Tradco’s Reims Lever on Long Backplate adorns the double doors of the ballroom situated at the front of the home. The Satin Brass finish complements the opulent green velvet hues of both the furniture inside and Australian native greenery in the garden.
The master bedroom was designed to be “plush, timeless and romantic”. Sheer curtains are held open with the TradCo Feather Curtain Sweep, inviting air and light into the room.
Naturally, the TradCo collection was a perfect fit as Blaze continuously reiterates her love for the original features of the 120-year-old home. In the laundry the traditional TradCo Hat and Coat Hooks in Matt Black complement the modern wallpaper to create the perfect space.
